PRESCAND is indicated for: The treatment of primary hypertension in adults.

The treatment of hypertension in children and adolescents aged 6 to < 18 years.

The treatment of heart failure in adults with left ventricular systolic dysfunction (left ventricular ejection fraction = 40%):

* in case of intolerance to angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors

* in case of intolerance to aldosterone antagonists, as add-on therapy to ACE inhibitor therapy in symptomatic patients despite optimal therapy,
